This year’s annual congress of the German-Spanish Lawyers‘ Association took place from 30 May to 1 June 2024 in Schw\u00e4bisch Gm\u00fcnd, the old Staufer town not far from Stuttgart.<\/p>\n

Once again a very successful event with almost 120 participants, and also an anniversary congress to mark the founding of the German-Spanish Lawyers‘ Association in 1984, 40 years ago.<\/p>\n

The focus was on topics relating to German-Spanish commercial law, the establishment of companies in Spain and Germany with a cross-border character and criminal liability in M&A transactions and between group companies.<\/p>\n

As with many legal issues in German-Spanish law, existing similarities in international corporate law were highlighted, but also different legal rules and differences in practice, which are particularly important in the case of cross-border company formations or acquisitions.<\/p>\n

In addition, questions of legal liability when using artificial intelligence and the current trends and concepts of EU legislation on this highly dynamic and increasingly important technology were discussed.<\/p>\n

All in all, a very worthwhile event with a culinary and cultural programme in the beautiful and historic Staufer city of Schw\u00e4bisch Gm\u00fcnd.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
